Exciting news! I will be spending part of my summer as a local Missionary, serving with Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF). CEF is an interdenominational faith missionary organization that reaches boys and girls with the ospel of Jesus Christ.
As a Missionary, I will be teaching 5-Day Clubs (Bible Clubs) throughout our local area. I will also be serving and teaching at Camp Good News! The special training I will receive is called CYIA.
I want to serve as a Missionary because I believe that sharing the gospel with children is one of the most important things we can do as Christians. I love to know that I am serving God and that I am able to share his unrelentess love with these kids. I hope to be an inspiration to others to go out and serve for the Lord, and I am beyond excited to be a summer missionary for my third year! I trust that God will provide for me and use me for His good!
CEF is dependent on God for financial needs. Therefore, I am asking God to raise up a support team who will pray and give financially. Funds raised will be used for training, travel, and othe rexpenses when holding clubs. The total funds I need to raise is $500.00. Funds given over this amount will help our team to continue to expand the ministry to local children throughout the year. Missionaries attend one week of training called CYIA (Christian Youth In Action). Training includes teaching Bible lessons, sharing the Gospel, counseling for salvation, and much more. Training equips them to reach children in partnership with CEF and Local Churches year-round. Many teaching opportunities are available such as Camp Good News, Good News Clubs, Five Day Clubs, and Party Clubs.
Statistics tell us that 80% of the children in the United States do not attend church. How will they hear unless we go tell them? If you have any questions about CEF and our ministries please contact our local CEF coordinator, Bridget Back at 812-756-1694.
